You can take all your awards, trophies and medals to the grave and see what good they really are. Being the best, which is highly subjective, ego and arrogance is useless to the spirit. I avoid all wokeness however I can and live TV is off limits 99% of the time.
Global oligarchs with funds like Blackrock, etc. are distorting the focus of Corporate America. For most of our history, the saving grace of freedom -- in a world of weakness, ambition, and human greed -- was the simple notion of capitalism in a free market environment. This is killing Hollywood and also many forms of entertainment, from sports to comic books.
Simply put, if customers valued the product and service, a firm could prosper. If the dogs would not eat the dog food, the firm would go bankrupt, or at least decline so others could take over that market space and prosper. For centuries that worked. The free market had its own built-in system of garbage collection. America was founded on freedom and free markets.
No longer. Now the fashion is ESG investing. Fictional, mostly arbitrary, "social good" metrics are used by Governments and large investment funds to decide if firms can get financing and how much they must pay for money. "The ESG strategy means investing in companies that score highly on environmental and societal responsibility scales as determined by third-party, independent companies and research groups."
Essentially, market forces have been replaced by political forces. Such a system is easily gamed by the radical left to allow political correctness to trump reality. Smart people can also game the system. I loved it when Elon Musk created a product that did not work to solve a problem that did not exist, and thus became THE WEALTHIEST MAN IN THE WORLD.
God is laughing. But Americans are suffering, inflation soars, and our economy is collapsing.
I've deleted all these special months dedicated to one group, I chose what I want to watch and read. 1 of my favorite movies is Men of Honor. And I know scenes will reflect differently than the full truth. How much of Men of Honor is accurate?

No medium has been more successful in social engineering than cinema. Just look how much damage Clark Gable did to the T-shirt industry when he exposed his bare torso in "It Happened One Night."
While some might fixate on some occasional deviation from script and put it in a favorable light, others notice the prevailing adherence to the social engineering script.
