J.D., good article. There are 4 factors which limit (from little to none) the amount of coverage a mass murder gets from the left-wing, anti-gun media. First, the color of the murderer. Unless the criminal is white, coverage is minimal. Second, the likelihood the perp will commit such a crime. Those who have troubled school records or police encounters get away with little publicity. Third, if the shooter is on or has been on "psych" drugs (a large percentage) MSM gets a lot of money from Big Pharma, so they don't want the blame to fall on the drug pushers. Last, if the perp wasn't supposed to legally obtain the weapon. It is more news worthy if the killer has no legal issues.
Consider that a lot of these sick people follow by example. Previous coverage of similar incidents creates future events. They are also people looking for their "15 minutes of fame". If the media would refrain from publicizing the names of these criminals. others would be less inclined to commit mass murder. Murder and blood sell newspapers and clicks.
