There are those who actually believe the woke leftist ideology and then there are Democrat politicians who just use it for gain. I hope to reach those who are waking up to the lies.
I live in a crazy liberal enclave here in California, and know quite a few former Dems who are awake. They mostly keep quiet about it, but some are right up front. Our biggest challenge is voter fraud.
First of all, we expect "lucid" people to have a conscious. Unfortunately, THAT seems to be severely lacking, as demonstrated in nonstop parroting of justification talking points by Democrat defenders who whine quite well, yet cannot do basic math. As in, the first FIFTY people "drop off" vs. the ongoing MILLIONS of people "invasion." (So, SO similar a scale of the overall problem, but I digress.) What we've witnessed is that the term "sanctuary city" is actually purely objective--and the Democrat definition changes with any current challenge to status quo.
SO they call in the National Guard to...uhm...how'd they put it, again? Oh yeah, "trash removal."
Texas puts the national guard on the border even though the border is a federal responsibility. If New York is against illegal immigration why is it a sanctuary state.
All is not lost with Democrats. Look how many said they would NOT have voted for Biden if the FBI didn't hide the laptop, call it Russian disinformation, and tell Twitter and Facebook to ban anyone who called it otherwise.
You could probably count the number of lucid Democrats on 1 hand. Even if they exist in large numbers, the idea that they could, for one minute, abandon any ideology that benefits them politically (even if they don't believe it) is a pipe dream. The winds in this world are blowing to the left, have been for decades, and most feckless politicians will follow those breezes as long as they can enrich themselves and keep themselves in power.

I am strong opposed to the publicity stunt. Demographically attacking American states is disloyal. It's also divisive. Not everyone who lives in Massachusetts votes Democrat and the rest don't deserve to be treated as collateral damage. They didn't really think Martha's Vineyard would hold onto them, so messing up the liberal elite enclave was not accomplished. The working class Trump supporters of Mass will pay the price, losing jobs and housing to unfair foreign competition. Govs. DeSantis and Abbott are helping to destroy this country in many ways. First, they are perpetuating this stupid way of thinking, state against state. They did not attack the Left, they attacked a purple state. Every state is a purple state. Leading them to think otherwise pits American against American. Second, they are burrowing foreign criminals deeper into the interior and making it harder to deport them under "sanctuary."
