I'm not sure if Madison Cawthorn is really one of the few good guys or if he's just a pawn pretending to be a good guy. Call me a skeptic who's been burnt too often. But so far, he's stayed true.
He needs to start naming names. Until he does that his statements are meaningless to most people. I am sick of people that make accusations but then don't have the spine to name names.
Is Congress corrupt? Is water wet? Corruption in DC is as old as the Constitution. When elected leaders are allowed or encouraged to trade their influence for money, all bets are off. Today, the sums of money offered to or forced on politicians are so big that it takes a person of exceedingly strong moral fiber to say no. If money doesn't work, blackmail schemes like these will do. I don't think you could swing a dead cat in Congress and hit more than a handful of honest people. State governments are not much better. The only losers are the ordinary working voters whose tax money funds this corruption through the largesse of a thoroughly corrupt political machine.
He does need to declare he won't commit suicide. Guys who call out the establishment sometimes end up suicided. One thing is sure, he's not winning a whole lot of swamp buddies. Whoever posted his Wikipedia had nothing good to say about him, but rather painted him with a very muddy brush.

I suspect Trump is involved in this, somehow, some way. Trump for all his swamp talk is heavily invested in the swamp.

Cawthorn is my Congressman. If he dies get reelected, I pray he will not vote for McCarthy for Speaker.
