I think the movie was much less sinister than you imply and weak on several points such as the deer and the Teslas. It did do a "good" job of getting inside the viewer's head and messing with the emotions with a sense of paranoia and foreboding as communicated by the female characters in the movie. I ignored the race baiting as superficial and irrelevant. There was also a bit of baiting by the daughter of G.H. who just assumes that all older white males are pedophiles. Again, irrelevant, although in Obama's case that is an accurate assessment other than the fact that Obama is "black". I would simply describe the movie as "predictive programming" for a coming collapse of the power grid, something the elites like Klaus Schwab have been "predicting" for awhile now and this is actually the movie's primary message. They always tell us what they are going to do. Besides catering to their god-complex, this is part of their satanic version of justification called "cosmic retribution": if they tell you ahead of time they are going to kill you then the guilt falls on the victim. Don't you luv it?
Clearly, the complete collapse of the power grid and the subsequent destruction of NYC (and presumably other cities) and the ear-splitting attack by a DEW type weapon could only come about as a pre-planned event by an enemy cabal. This is what G.H.'s scenario clearly implies even though that is not explicitly addressed in the plot. As such the movie falls short of delivering a full and satisfying climax to the story.
I am amused and bemused that the primary complaint from Christians is that the movie left out "the Biblical understanding of the end times." The extent to which this fantasy has captured the thinking of the average church member always amazes me. End times rapture theology only came on the theological scene in modern times and is neither Biblical nor is it a part of historical Christianity. I'm sure this will dismay most but end-times rapture theology is not found in God's Word nor in the beliefs of the church fathers. So with that statement I just lost 80% of the readers here. But maybe it will cause some to think about it more seriously. All you have to do is test it by the Word. Not by the word of some preacher.
One last comment on the movie. Would the Marxists actually do this to prevent the 2024 elections and short-circuit the American people's desire to throw out these sociopath criminals? My husband watched this last week and I saw bits and pieces. I was immediately struck by the race card being flagrantly waved, but I was more struck by the characters being so upset they'd lost the internet but not worrying about electricity. Some studies show that if America lost electricity for a year, 80% of the population would die from the inability to eat, drink and survive without refrigeration, medication, access to a running vehicle and access to clean water and that doesn't even count the violence and accidents a lack of law enforcement and first responders would spawn. I never heard the characters even mention concerns about losing electricity. Also, how did the internet go down but leave all the cars and self-driving cars in operation? It seemed like a stretch to me, but the thought I was being manipulated that the apocalypse won't be so bad didn't occur to me. Mostly because I know it will be an ongoing life and death struggle every minute of every Earthly rotation. Our only defense is to inoculate ourselves with the truth. Not just Biblical truth, although that's of massive importance, but the truth of the reality that civilization is only skin deep. Scratch the surface and those without a deep grounding in Biblical principles will take advantage of the various crises to make a play for power and wealth (in this case, food, clean water and a safe, easily defensible position). All mankind's worst parts will float to the top. There will be slavery, murder, rape, child predation and everything law enforcement keeps the lid on in our current existence. Only deeply embedded notions of honor and God's word will keep us from becoming the monsters we will inevitably face in the event of TEOTWAWKI. The movie sucked. Poor acting. Weak plot. No real ending. Stupid characters with no real substance, even the two kids were tiresome. I knew with B&M O as exec producers there would be anti-white leanings, but the whole thing was just so bad. Even Julia Roberts was disappointing as an actor.
