There's a semi-viable reason why so many Trump allies are rushing to save Dr. Mehmet Oz and his campaign. I disagree, but at least it's partially understandable. It's still wrong.
What happened to the idea that people can think for themselves? As you say, Trump made a mistake. Everyone should vote for the person who best exemplifies his or her values and disregard what Trump has to say on this issue. Shame on Hannity and Grennel, BTW.

I was never an Oz fan because I just find him creepy, and I have never seen any TV show with him. I know little about the other guy, but I do know the UniParty likes him, so I steer clear.
I have no reason to like Barnette, really, but find the recent trashing a bad look. She would not be the first MAGA convert. Many, many are. It's possible to find Trump foul in 2016 (for many reasons, especially since 2016 was all about Canks), but after seeing what he DID realize his greatness.
My only hope is PA has a fair election for a change, and the GOP wins beyond the margin of cheat in Philly...
Kathy Barnette is my candidate, and her sign is on my front lawn on a busy street. I don't want Dr. Oz or anyone else who moved to PA just to run for the Senate. She is one of us and will be a huge asset in the Senate. Trump blew it on the endorsement of Dr. Oz, but I still support Trump in about every other way.

If your analysis is true, than there is a problem for sure. If the Trumpites will do anything to protect him, they will be throwing out true and genuine candidates that stand for what they believe in. There may be good intentions involved for those loyal to Trump to the T, but does that mean it is good for the American people?
In this specific case I believe their decision to not admit their mistake with Oz will either be their downfall or take away the people's best candidate which will be tragic.

I would rather turn my support to another like DeSantis than continue to support Trump's ego. He has challenged the support of his loyal supporter to the point that he has lost touch with those who have ardently supported him.

Glenn Beck interviewed Kathy Barnette on his radio show this morning, providing her the opportunity to respond to the disingenuous Fb video that looked like a page out of Grenell's playbook. She had all the right answers and looks like the best candidate PA conservatives could place in the Senate. If the election is not rigged again, which is the big "if."
