As usual Mike looks pretty weak on most things so I do not have any high hopes for anything but a deal for democrats will be done, Republicans don’t want to lead when they have control, they show us time and time again. During the house judiciary subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government hearing on the first amendment free speech protection act, with witness Bobby Kennedy back in July 20, the session was a a good opportunity to watch both Jim Jordan and Mike Johnson dispute the raucous contempt of Debbie Wasserman Shultz and equally as contemptuous Stacy Plackett, both who showed their true anti American colors attacking Maya Wiley Journalist and Bobby Kennedy. New to me was co speaker Mike Johnson who displayed a calm, articulate, well educated demeanor in his efforts to counter Shultz and Placketts extreme leftist attacks. Johnson did not disappoint.
I watched a large portion of that hearing (as well as the day Matt Taibbi and Mike Shellenberg appeared) and the one indisputable fact that became crystal clear was that Plackett and Wasserman really are sociopathic, despicable human beings. They attack witnesses with blatantly lies and distortions constantly.

For the first time in the last ten years watching Congress, I am cautiously hopeful instead of trying to hold onto a hope which keeps slipping away. I'm pleased with the choice for Speaker even if Mike Johnson wasn't on my Bingo card this year. I pray he doesn't disappoint the nation who's watching him.
I whole heartedly concur: 'Having Capitol Hill on hold for a few weeks was nice.' Someone whined that congress can't do any business while the republicans squabble. The retort - when everything they do is self serving and destructive, that's a definite positive.

The only thing the Congress is good for any more is continuing the money laundering and wealth confiscation that has become its forte. All the rest is theater, smoke and mirrors, an illusion to make us think we have a functioning Republic.
I say give him a chance, at the very least. We all know he won't be the saviour we are hoping for. He can't be, he is in the swamp and he will sooner or later conform.
Let us hope and pray that he doesn’t have any skeletons in his closet and that his briefs are loaded with a set of patriotic testicles. RINOs are helping liberal globalists destroy our sovereignty. And if the beacon of light and liberty is extinguished in America, the hope for freedom worldwide will be futile.
