I like your optimism but worry that two things that are ignored by nearly all politicians on the right, i.e. digital IDs and CBDC, will sneak past a GOP oblivious to the consequences and negate every other measure taken to move the country rightward.

Having been a CA resident for 26 years, I can attest to this being a good thing...However, it's my understanding that the US Constitution forbids states from breaking off and creating a new state. It's possible that some more conservative counties can join a contiguous state...I. e., eastern OR & WA can join Idaho, eastern CO counties could join NE, etc.
And hard-working, frugal, productive people are sick of supporting school education for children of illegals, multi-generational welfare recipients, corrupt law enforcement, increased crime, and generous retirements pensions for largely lazy, entitled gov't workers.
Something must be done!...Because in several states, there's an idea brewing about creating state-level "electoral colleges" so that the entire red parts of the state is not outvoted and disenfranchised by urban populations, with their finely honed fraud mechanisms and large welfare populations.
The state issues are more accessible than federal. As they should be.
