Wouldn't it be great if 10 million people stopped using Twitter

all at once? I sincerely hope this person who has been offended

this way decides to perhaps walk away from such abuse.

What's that saying, about chasing a greased pig?

Agreed. I convinced myself of this and quit twitter a couple of weeks ago until it is reformed, if ever (prob not).

Everyone should abandon Twitter; it serves no socially redeeming purpose, at this point.

I don't understand why any person who has been cancelled or seen it happen would remain on this platform. I have never been a Twitterite, but I dropped out of Fb ten years ago when I saw how friends were being affected, in a negative way, and privacy was evaporating. That was hard, back then - I remember hovering over the "Are you sure you want to cancel your account? -- it's FOREVER" button. All these years later it is nearly impossible for most. Social media, like Fb and Twitter, is an addiction. Recognizing that fact is the first step in healing.

The trouble with "walking away" is that (a) if the person has already been removed, no one will notice the absence, and (b) once all the dissenters from the narrative are gone, the narrative reigns supreme among those who've stayed and those who join in the future. As for the numbers decreasing, shapers of the narrative can always send in the bots to raise the numbers.

You are welcome to engage in Twatter, and continue that rationale. Good luck.

You seem to be assuming that I currently use Twitter. I don't, and I never did. I was offering a caveat to those who have been using it. As Thomas Sowell always says, there are seldom any "solutions," only tradeoffs. I was presenting one of the items to consider in deciding on which tradeoff to choose.

But using your logic, when someone continues to Twit, they are mostly engageing with bots. So....

As I said, I was presenting factors to consider in making a decision. I wasn't recommending which decision to make. "Logic" evaluates factors in order to make a decision. I wasn't evaluating the factors, just presenting them. Read my post again. I'm not going to get into an argument over something I didn't say.

Not an argument, but there is no logic, and stupidity, in going back after repeated bannings. It's like folks spend good energy there and it ends up getting dissipated, removed, arbitrarily. Twitter is an energy suck to say the least. If no one went there.....it would dry up and blow away, eventually. Just sayin.

Shared to GETTR and Truth Social. It’s revolting. Elon Musk should know Twitter is beyond redemption.

As you say JD, 'adding insult to injury'. It is tragic to hear of the woman's death. Her daughter and the doctor need to take this story to every alternative media to expose Twitter. She is telling the truth and has the evidence to back it up.

We are dealing with evil criminals folks.

So did this get situated? Is the news article shareable to Twitter now? Did they give a reason why they slapped it with a false label?

I post many of your substack articles on Twitter. Waiting to be censored any day, or suspended. I was suspended for a week about 6 months ago and didn’t care.

Would that we could reach the day when getting banned or censored by Twitter is a non-event. Constantly gaslighting these episodes merely contributes to the relevance, and the sheer power, of Twitter.
