AC is not catholic though, they are eastern orthodox. roman catholicism broke away from from greek orthodoxy around 1054, but the fact that they both retain some of the exact same beliefs, it makes it hard to distinguish between the 2 for most people. Study a little bit the Orthodoxy and you'll be surprised about the differences.
We have similarities, of course, as both Catholicism and Orthodoxy are Apostolic churches, but while from Catholicism sprouted hundreds of protestant and neo-protestant churches, from the Orthodoxy, they are rare and few. Just some food for thought.
