I disagree with your notion that the prevailing gender norm is something that is consciously forced upon everyone by people seeking to inflict it upon others. As an example where I am the minority: I love jazz/fusion music. To me it is the apex of musical expression. Unfortunatly for me, 99% of the population doesn't share my enthusiasm. Jazz/fusion is so rare that it's almost never played even on jazz stations. In fact, the jazz station near me (Jazz88 in Minneapolis) prefers to play bluegrass, Irish folk, blues, and all sorts of stuff rather than jazz/fusion, which is a huge component of the legitimate jazz repertoire. This is frustrating for me. My odds of hearing what I want on the radio at any given moment are 0.0%. First, there is a biological concept called "sex" that is indisputable. If you don't believe that some people are born with penises and others are born with vaginas, then I don't know where to go with this. I have spent my entire long life watching the propaganda about the perfect white family which rarely exists. It was extremely hurtful to live a life with trauma which was aggravated by a mythology that could not/would not deal with reality.

No, your concept of an idea being 'pushed' is exactly what socialization of any idea it about. That is how you had heterosexism pushed on you and that can be seen as a bigoted idea to be fought but you don't even question it. This is how all belief systems are inculcated into the society and our people. Childhood it about learning about the world and how to live in it. Why do you oppose learning about differences and understanding they have as much validity as your personal identity which was pushed onto you. What scares you about our children finding comfort with all the different cultures that make us a single, pluralist society?

I disagree with your notion that the prevailing gender norm is something that is consciously forced upon everyone by people seeking to inflict it upon others. As an example where I am the minority: I love jazz/fusion music. To me it is the apex of musical expression. Unfortunatly for me, 99% of the population doesn't share my enthusiasm. Jazz/fusion is so rare that it's almost never played even on jazz stations. In fact, the jazz station near me (Jazz88 in Minneapolis) prefers to play bluegrass, Irish folk, blues, and all sorts of stuff rather than jazz/fusion, which is a huge component of the legitimate jazz repertoire. This is frustrating for me. My odds of hearing what I want on the radio at any given moment are 0.0%. I guess I could complain that the masses are FORCING "country", "rock", and all sorts of other stuff in which I have no interest upon me. But instead I regard the radio stations as simply catering to majority tastes. The existence of a majority does not automatically constitute a tyranny.

First, there is a biological concept called "sex" that is indisputable. If you don't believe that some people are born with penises and others are born with vaginas, then I don't know where to go with this. Second, this "sex" thing has existed long before any of our modern social concepts; its purpose is clearly to serve the interest of procreation, which is why you and I are even here to discuss this. The "normative" biological functions of males and females exist without our having an opinion about them, and they produce new humans whether we believe in them or not. So the "pushing" of the idea of some sort of normative heterosexuality doesn't come from my lame imagination; it is older than the human race and it existed long before we had language to even talk about it. We can either acknowledge that this thing exists (a policy formerly regarded as a tenet of common sense) or we can pretend that Mother Nature doesn't care about heterosexuality, and that our "bigoted ideas" surrounding the notion of males and females even existing at all are purely our own hallucinations.
